Ranchi : Ranchi District Transport Officer (Ranchi District Transport Officer) Praveen Kumar Prakash, Deputy Superintendent of Police (Traffic), Jeetvahan Oraon and Traffic Department conducted a joint investigation operation at Kachari Chowk. In which a re-investigation campaign was launched against the vehicles using the indicator board / name plate unauthorizedly. During this, about hundreds of vehicles were checked for other vehicle related documents like without pollution certificate, without insurance, without license etc.
In the investigation drive, action was taken against the vehicles which were using name plates unauthorizedly to dozens of vehicles. Name plates were removed from such vehicles on the spot itself and penal fee was collected under section 179 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988. A total of Rs.26500 as penalty fee was collected from 17 vehicles.

District Transport Officer Praveen Kumar Prakash said that in different types of private/commercial vehicles, various types of special sign boards/boards are being installed in the front and side. Being written in different colors creates suspicion among people about the uniqueness of vehicles and affects traffic movement. On many occasions, even priority vehicles like ambulances have to face traffic hindrances and patients traveling in transport also face problems, as well as increase in road accidents and deaths in many cases. The District Transport Officer said that the investigation campaign would be conducted regularly from time to time. He urged everyone that all motor vehicle drivers/owners should comply with the government notification. During the investigation, Road Safety Manager Jamal and Gaurav also gave instructions related to safety to the drivers/owners.
