The princess of Japan married her college boyfriend in a very filmy style. This marriage was called film style because after this the princess lost her Royal title. Japan’s Princess Mako, the emperor’s niece, married her boyfriend Kei Komuro on Tuesday. Along with losing her royal title, she said that she wants to live a happy life with her husband.
Actually Princess Mako belongs to a royal family and her husband Kei is a common citizen. Due to this he has lost his royal status. However, public opinion is divided on the issue of the princess’s marriage and the abolition of her royal status.
The “Imperial Household Agency” reported that wedding documents of Mako and her boyfriend, Kei Komuro, were presented Tuesday morning by a palace official.
The agency said that according to the palace doctors, Mako was suffering from stress earlier this month, from which she is now recovering. Mako was under a lot of stress due to negative news about her marriage, especially targeting Komuro.

The same thing Mako said in a joint press conference with her husband. “The wrong news reports about Komuro had made him very sad. This created an atmosphere of tension and fear,” he said. There will be no lunch or dinner party and no other rituals will be held after the wedding.
Mako is the niece of Emperor Naruhito. He and Komuro studied together at the “International Christian University” in Tokyo. They announced the marriage in September 2017, but the marriage was postponed two months later due to a financial dispute involving Komuro’s mother.
However, it is not yet clear whether the dispute has been completely resolved or not. Komuro, 30, went to New York to study law in 2018 and returned to Japan only last month.
Mako has now lost her royal status after marrying an ordinary citizen according to Japanese imperial rules, adopting her husband’s surname. Under the law, a married couple is required to use a surname.
Palace officials said Mako also refused to accept 140 million yen ($12.3 million). She is the first member of the royal family since the Second World War who did not receive any money as a gift when she married a commoner.
On Tuesday morning she came out of the palace wearing a light blue dress and a bouquet in her hand. There she met her parents Crown Prince Akishino, Crown Princess Kiko and her sister Kako.
According to “Imperial House” law, female members of the royal family are forced to lose their royal status when they marry an ordinary citizen. Due to this practice, the members of the royal family are becoming less and there is a shortage of heirs to the throne. After Naruhito, only Akishino and his son Prince Hisahito are in the race for succession.
A government-appointed committee of experts is discussing the issue, but conservatives are still adamant about female succession or not making female members the head of the royal family.
