The Japanese prime minister is likely to announce an investment of 5,000 billion yen (US$42 billion) in the country during his visit to India. Giving the above information in a media report, it was told that this investment will be done in the next five years. Kishida is also likely to announce increased direct investment by Japanese companies in India and capacity expansion during his visit, the leading business newspaper said. Kishida is expected to agree on a loan of around 300 billion yen during his meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The report said that the two sides are expected to sign an energy cooperation document on carbon reduction.
