Savant 2077 has been very busy. Despite some intermediate corrections, there has been a strong rally in the secondary market, while Rs 86,650 crore has been raised in the primary market through 47 IPOs. The decline in the case of COVID-19, the improvement in economic activities, strong liquidity available in the market, digitization, rapid growth, good results of companies, steps taken by RBI and government were some of the reasons that led to equity. The market got strong support and despite some corrections in between, Savant showed a great bull run in the Indian equity market in 2077.
In the second half of FY 2022 or say Savant 2077, there was a surge of IPO in the primary market. Zomato proved to be the biggest public issue ever. It raised Rs 9,375 crore through its IPO. After that PowerGrid Infrastructure Investment Trust InvIT raised Rs 7,735 crore, Gland Pharma Rs 6480 crore, Sona Comstar Rs 5,550 crore and Nuvoco Vistas Corporation Rs 5,000 crore through IPO.
Talking about the secondary market, Sawant was seen crossing the level of 60,000 in 2077. At the same time, Nifty also crossed 18000 level for the first time. During this period, the Sensex has given a return of 37 percent and the Nifty 40 percent. Small-medium stocks have outperformed the giants in Sawant 2077. BSE Midcap and Smallcap have given returns of 61.6 per cent and 81 per cent respectively during this period.
Looking at the IPO market, out of 47 IPOs in Sawant 2077, 35 IPOs were trading above their issue price while 15 of these IPOs proved to be multibaggers.
Paras Defense and Space Technologies and Nureca are the biggest gainers. So far they have given returns of 359 and 331 per cent respectively. However, some of the IPOs that came during this period have not done well. These include Suryoday Small Finance Bank, Windlas Biotech, Krsnaa Diagnostics, CarTrade Tech, Glenmark Life Sciences, Kalyan Jewelers India, and Aditya Birla Sun Life AMC.
Experts believe that like Savant 2077, 2078 will be very good for the primary market but before investing in any IPO, do good research on the company and focus on long-term returns rather than listing gains.
Gaurav Garg of CapitalVia Global Research says that the last 2 years have been very good for the primary market. We expect to see more excitement in the IPO market going forward. There are many IPOs in the line which have huge potential. Good listing gain can be found in this. Upcoming IPOs include big names like LIC, NSE, Paytm.
Harshad Chetanwala of mywealthgrowth.com says that instead of just focusing on listing gains, we should work on a definite strategy for investing in IPOs and invest in it with a long view.
