Verification is necessary
Taxpayers can also verify by sending a physical copy of the ITR to the Centralized Processing Center (CPC) office in Bangalore. If the verification process is not completed, then it is assumed that the return has not been filed. This means that verification is the last step to file ITR and only after that the process of filing ITR is completed.
