Nashik : Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) has been given a common sewage process plant as per High Court order at Ambad Maharashtra Industrial Estate in Nashik district. But start the work immediately, such instructions were given by Industries Minister Subhash Desai on Wednesday, 2 February. Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Minister Chhagan Bhujbal demanded that the work on the project be expedited to prevent pollution of Godavari in the interest of common man. A meeting was held in the hall of Mantralaya in the presence of Minister Subhash Desai and Minister Chhagan Bhujbal regarding setting up of Joint Wastewater Treatment Plant at Ambad Maharashtra Industrial Estate.
Industries Minister Subhash Desai was addressing the meeting. On this occasion, Chief Executive Officer of Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation Dr. P. Anbalgan, Joint Secretary Ajit Patil, Nashik Municipal Commissioner Kailas Jadhav, Joint Secretary Sanjay Degaonkar, Scientific Officer Dr. Amar Supate, Chief Officer S. R. Tupe and other officials were present. During the meeting, Minister Desai said that the committee constituted under the chairmanship of Scientific Officer Dr. Supate has given a favorable report. Considering the suggestions in this report, the Industrial Development Corporation should act accordingly.

Desai said that this work should be given priority by following the guidelines of the government without any delay. During the meeting, Minister Chhagan Bhujbal said that there should be no pollution of river water during the construction of Common Sewage Treatment Plant at Ambad Maharashtra Industrial Estate, Nashik. At the same time, all arrangements should be taken care of to maintain the purity of the river water. Because this question is related to the health of the people. The agencies implementing the project should give priority to the work. While completing the project in the stipulated time, Scientific Officer Dr. Supate appealed that the instructions given by the committee should be followed.
