Tamil Nadu all-rounder Shahrukh Khan (IPL), who considers MS Dhoni as his ideal player, wants to become the great Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni as a match finisher. Shahrukh Khan, who has performed well in domestic cricket, has been included in the team as a standby player for the One Day International and T20I series against the West Indies (West Indies vs India Series, 2022).
Let us remind you that after becoming the regular captain, Team India will play the first ODI series from 6 February under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma. Of course, Shah Rukh Khan is an impressive player. Not only is he a lethal fast bowler, he is also a terrific batsman. And, with his explosive batting, he has the ability to turn the dice of any match. His base price in IPL Mega Auction-2022 is Rs 40 lakh.
MS Dhoni is Shahrukh’s idol
Right-handed batsman Shahrukh Khan IPL said, “I consider MS Dhoni as my idol. And, I want to finish the game in the same way as he continued to do for India. I have always followed Dhoni, (Mahendra Singh Dhoni) and I want to be a match finisher like him. Dhoni is fully aware of his abilities and the specialty of his batting has been that he takes the game to the end. The closer you take the game to the end, the more pressure there will be on the bowlers.
I want to give my hundred percent to the team
Shahrukh Khan further said, “I go to the crease completely mentally prepared and do not think about the pressure. I play my game calmly. I know how to change gears according to match conditions. I always want to come for my team and give my 100 percent. When you think about your individual performance rather than the team, the pressure is clearly visible on your face. I put my team ahead of myself.”
Not thinking much about auction
Shahrukh Khan was bought by ‘Punjab Kings’ (Punjab Kings PBKS) in IPL 2021 for Rs 5.25 crores. Last season, he scored 153 runs in 11 matches at an average of 21.85. During that time he scored runs at a strike rate of 134.21. 10 sixes also came off his bat.
IPL Mega Auction-2022 will be held on February 12 and 13, about which he said, “I am not thinking much about the auction. For now I want to live. I will take whatever chance I get. I have learned a lot in ‘Punjab Kings’. ‘Punjab Kings’ (PBKS) have retained only Mayank Agarwal and Arshdeep Singh ahead of the IPL 2022 mega auction.
