Indian Railways: If you are traveling while fasting during Navratri (Navratri 2022) then you do not have to worry about food. Yes, keeping in mind the fasting passengers, Indian Railways has introduced its new Navratri Special Menu, which will be available from 2nd April on the first day of Navratri. Those who travel during Navratri will now get food like home in trains.
The menu of IRCTC (Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation) includes Navratri special meals, with prices starting at just Rs.99. During Chaitra Navratri, which is an important Hindu festival dedicated to Mother Durga and her nine incarnations, devotees observe a fast for 9 days to please the goddess and seek her blessings.

Aloo Chaap is a perfect snack for those during fasting which is made with fresh coconut, peanuts, sago and an overload of flavours.
Sabudana tikkis are fried till golden brown and crisp and served with creamy curd.
Main course (made with no onion, no garlic, rock salt)
– Paneer Makhmali and Sabudana Khichdi Navratri Thali (made of rock salt with no onion-garlic) consists of Sabudana Khichdi, Singhada Aloo Paratha, Paneer Makhmalli, Arabic Masala, Aloo Chaap and Sitaphal Kheer.
– Kofta Curry and Sabudana Khichdi Navratri thali includes Sabudana Khichdi, Singhada Aloo Paratha, Kofta Curry, Arabic Masala, Aloo Chaap and Sitaphal Kheer.
Along with Paneer Makhmali Parathas, Arbi Masala includes Paneer Makhmali, Arbi Masala, Singhada Aloo Paratha.
Sabudana Khichdi with Curd: A favorite fasting meal, made of sago, tempered with green chillies, mustard seeds and roasted peanuts.
– Sitaphal Kheer Made from fresh custard apple pulp and cream, this Sitaphal Kheer will surely give a sweet end to your fasting meal.
