India-China Standoff: India and China will hold the 15th round of high-level military talks on Friday to resolve issues related to the remaining areas of standoff in eastern Ladakh. However, according to Hindustan Times, the Indian military and diplomatic establishment has little hope of a positive outcome in this meeting of military commanders of India-China.
The talks so far have resulted in the resolution of issues in the northern and southern banks of Pangong So (lake), Galwan and Gogra hot spring areas. Earlier this year, the 14th round of talks held on January 12 this year did not yield any new breakthrough.
According to sources, the two sides will hold the next round of meeting at Chushul Moldo in Ladakh on Friday to end the 22-month-old standoff in the remaining areas. He mentioned that the recent statements by both sides are encouraging and positive in nature to find a mutually acceptable solution.
China said- ‘Can take one step further’
China on Wednesday expressed hope that the two neighbors can take a “step further” during the upcoming 15th round of high-level military talks with India and an acceptable “appropriate settlement” between the two sides on the remaining disputed areas in eastern Ladakh. Huh.
Confirming the 15th round of high-level military talks on March 11, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian said in a press briefing here on Wednesday, “In the final round of talks, both sides resolved the remaining issue on the western sector of the border.” Had an in-depth exchange of ideas on doing it.

India is in talks with China to reduce tensions in remaining standoff points in eastern Ladakh such as Patrolling Point 15 (Hot Springs), Depsang Bulge and Demchok. The border standoff between Indian and Chinese armies began in eastern Ladakh on May 5, 2020, following violent clashes in the Pangong Lake area. Both sides gradually deployed thousands of soldiers as well as heavy military equipment.
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said on Monday that his country and India have faced some difficulties in bilateral relations in the past few years. He said that border differences should be negotiated at an equal level so that a fair and just solution can be found.

He also said that the complex border issue and differences over the region should not interfere with the bigger picture of bilateral cooperation.
