India-China Standoff: India and China have agreed to hold the 15th Corps Commander-level talks to resolve the issues related to the border dispute. The news agency ANI has quoted defense sources as saying that these talks will be held on March 11 at Chushul Moldo Point inside the Indian border. During this, the remaining border issues between India and China will be discussed.
The meeting will be held under the Working Mechanism for Consultation and Coordination on India China Border (WMCC). The dispute arose between the two at three important points, including both sides of Pangong Lake, in the Gogra Heights and Hot Springs area, along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh following Chinese construction.
An agreement has been reached between India and China on these issues
Through several rounds of talks, the two sides have resolved issues related to Pangong Lake and Gogra Heights friction points as the troops withdrew. The North and South Banks of Pangong Lake, Galwan and Gogra Hot Spring areas were resolved as a result of the 14th round of talks.
At the same time, during the 13th round of meeting, the focus was on resolving the remaining issues along the LAC in eastern Ladakh between the two sides. However, it is not certain that all disputes between the two countries will be resolved in the 15th round of talks, as China remains firm on its stubborn stand. Because of this, the controversy remains constant.
Talks will be held at Chushul Moldo meeting point
Defense sources told ANI that India and China have decided to hold the 15th round of Corps Commander-level talks at Chushul Moldo meeting point in India on March 11, 2022, based on mutual consent. India and China held the 14th round of Corps Commander level talks on January 12, while the 13th round was held on October 10 last year.

During the 14th round of talks, both sides agreed to continue talks through military and diplomatic channels to find a mutually acceptable solution to the pending issues of the standoff in eastern Ladakh.
Tension had increased between the two after the violent conflict
China had described the latest round of military-level talks with India as “positive and fruitful” and said Beijing would work closely with New Delhi for proper management of the border dispute. China has rejected America’s allegation of intimidating its neighbours.
A standoff broke out on the eastern Ladakh border after violent clashes between the armies of India and China in the Pangong Lake areas and both sides gradually increased their deployment by moving thousands of soldiers and heavy weapons there.
Tension had escalated after the deadly clash in Galwan Valley on June 15, 2020. However, as a result of military and diplomatic talks, the two sides completed the process of withdrawal of troops in Gogra and on the northern and southern banks of Pangong Lake last year.
