Dr. Deshmukh said that there has been a slight increase in the number of COVID patients in the state in the last few days. The sound of infection of Omicron is also being heard. Against this background, the speed of COVID testing in rural areas should be increased. Apart from this, the speed of second vaccination should be increased further.

On polio vaccination, Dr. Deshmukh said that polio vaccination is in the month of January. In such a situation, more and more young children should be given vaccines. Especially by going to the settlements of the people who have shifted to the district and complete the vaccination. He also gave such instructions to inform the laborers working in all the industries or sugar mills in the district about vaccination. In the meeting, necessary health related instructions were given for Purandar, Daund and Mulshi tehsils. Along with this, it was told about taking necessary public awareness steps to prevent dengue and malaria. In Junnar and Baramati tehsils, the District Magistrate and other officials also gave instructions to pay special attention to the vaccination of pregnant women. At this time the work of District Health Campaign Regulatory Committee, District Integral Health and Family Welfare Committee, District Malaria Society, National TB Control Committee, Blindness Control Program, Birth-Death Registration and COVID Committees of the district were reviewed.
