Meanwhile, an IT team raided the premises of a former Indian Police Service (IPS) officer in Noida. During this, he has recovered unaccounted cash. However, till now the department has not given official information.
According to sources, the Income Tax Department team had received information that a large amount of cash was kept inside the house of the former IPS officer. On the basis of which a search operation was conducted in the premises of a former IPS officer in Sector 50, Noida. He was also informed that the former IPS was running a firm from the basement which has 650 lockers. During the operation, IT bundles of currency notes of Rs 2,000 and Rs 500 were recovered.

Out of these private lockers, about Rs 2 crore in one locker and Rs 30 to 35 lakh separately in the remaining two lockers have been recovered by the team of Income Tax Department. At the same time, these lockers are being told to other people, who were given on rent. But when the police tried to contact them, they were reluctant to come forward. During the investigation of Income Tax Department is now on the side of Benami Locker. The seized amount will be deposited in the government account.
