New Delhi: Voting is going on for 58 assembly seats in 11 districts of the state for the first phase of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election 2022. In such a situation, people are reaching all the polling booths to exercise their right to vote.
Whereas in Muzaffarnagar, just before his wedding, a groom reached the polling station in wedding clothes to cast his vote. The video of this groom has also surfaced on social media. In the video, the groom named Ankur Baliyan is saying that, first voting, then daughter-in-law and only then everything will be done.

Simultaneously, a 105-year-old woman also reached a polling booth in Muzaffarnagar for the first phase of voting in Uttar Pradesh. “I have voted for development and security,” he said.

Actually, voting has started for the assembly elections in UP which started at 7 am on Thursday. The voting work for the first phase of elections started at 7 am as per the COVID protocol and will continue till 6 pm. Polling is going on peacefully and no untoward incident has been reported from anywhere. Polling is being held in Shamli, Hapur, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Muzaffarnagar, Meerut, Baghpat, Ghaziabad, Bulandshahr, Aligarh, Mathura and Agra districts in this phase.

The first phase of elections is being held in a Jat dominated area.
