Amravati. Lifeline ST buses of rural areas have been closed for 40 days. Due to which the system of rural areas has come to a standstill. Especially the students going to school-college from rural and urban areas are facing academic loss. Already due to Corona, the education system has collapsed for 2 consecutive years.
In that, due to the closure of ST buses, a lot of dilemma has arisen in front of rural students to go to school and college. The children of the striking workers of ST Mahamandal themselves are also facing this difficulty. People of rural and urban areas depend on a single safe and reliable ST bus service.
ineffective ultimatum
Although state Transport Minister Anil Parab had given an ultimatum to the striking workers of ST Mahamandal till Monday 13 December while implementing the Mesma Act, but this ultimatum also remained ineffective. The state government has started a statewide strike from November 6, 2021, demanding the merger of ST Mahamandal in the state government. Although the government has given an increase in salary, ST employees have clearly said that there is no offer like mobile recharge, but we only need merger.
12 ST buses running
A total of 12 ST buses are being run in Amravati district during the strike period. All these ST buses are being run on Varud-Morshi-Amravati route.
