A humpback whale breached onto a small boat off a Plymouth seashore Sunday morning, one other shut encounter between whales and people as sightings of the giants surge within the space.
The whale breached and landed on the bow of a 19-foot vessel off White Horse Beach at about 10 a.m. on Sunday.
A Plymouth Harbormaster boat responded to verify on the boaters, and the operator reported no accidents together with no main harm to the vessel. The boaters then safely introduced the vessel again to the Plymouth Boat Ramp.
The Massachusetts Environmental Police is investigating the incident.
“Plymouth Harbormaster Department recommends a distance of at least 100 yards to minimize potential interactions with whales,” Plymouth Harbormaster Chad Hunter stated in a press release.
“This interaction, while rare, is a reminder that these interactions can be dangerous for both boaters and whales,” he added.

Just the opposite time without work Plymouth, a whale ran into a ship with fishermen aboard.
Humpback whales have been drawn to the Plymouth space in latest weeks, as they comply with faculties of fish to the favored boating vacation spot.
