The deceased was buried by mistake by the embassy translator
In the petition filed in the High Court, Anju Sharma has said that the Indian consulate officials told her that her husband was buried because of a mistake made by the official translator of the embassy in Jeddah. Actually, the translator mistakenly declared Sanjeev Kumar as ‘Muslim’ on the death certificate. The embassy also shared with the petitioner a letter of apology submitted by the official translation agency of the Indian consulate in Jeddah.
