New Delhi: The controversy regarding Hijab, which started from Udupi, has now spread to many colleges in Karnataka. Meanwhile, a video is becoming increasingly viral on social media. In this video a student wearing a hijab is surrounded by several boys wearing saffron scarves in a college in Karnataka.
In the video, a group of boys can be seen moving towards the girl, shouting ‘Jai Shri Ram’. After which the girl raises slogans of Allah Hu Akbar. Meanwhile, some people present in the college reach the spot and pacify the matter.

According to media reports, the video is being told of Mandya’s Pre-University College. It can be seen in the video that the student first parks her scooter and then moves towards the college campus, only when several students wearing saffron scarves approach her.
Meanwhile, it is reported that the Karnataka High Court is hearing petitions by five women of a government college in Udupi, questioning the hijab ban. The matter was heard on Tuesday.

In fact, the hijab protest began last month at the Government Girls PU College in Udupi after six students alleged that they were barred from attending classes for wearing headscarves. In Udupi and Chikkamagaluru, some students objected to Muslim girls wearing hijab and started attending classes wearing saffron scarves. After this the controversy which started from Udupi started spreading to other colleges of the state as well.
