In such a situation, once again a herd of wild elephants has been reported to have entered the Murumgaon forest area of Dhanora tehsil. Due to the sighting of wild elephants by some people in the evening in the Kali Pahari complex under Murumgaon forest range, an atmosphere of panic has been created again among the farmers and citizens of this area.
In the month of October, a herd of wild elephants entered the Murumgaon forest area of Dhanora tehsil through Chhattisgarh. At the same time, many houses were also damaged. After this the herd of elephants took their front towards the Vadsa Forest Department.
These elephants damaged paddy crops in Desaiganj, Armori, Kurkheda tehsils. For the last 15 days, the elephants who have been camping in the Vadsa Forest Department have now again entered the Murumgaon forest area via the Kadholi-Angara-Muska road, creating an atmosphere of panic among the people of this area.
Sindesur-Kavadikasa forest entry
The herd of wild elephants has traveled from Malewara in Kurkheda tehsil to Yerkad in Dhanora tehsil via Kadholi-Angara. During this, two days ago, citizens going to the program organized in Yerkad to commemorate Mandai, saw a herd of wild elephants on the road. Due to which the traffic was affected for some time. Information about elephant movement has been received in the Sindesur-Kavadikasa forest area of the Kali hill complex of this region.
Denied help even after two months
A month ago, a herd of wild elephants entered the Murumgaon forest area while leaving Chhattisgarh. As soon as they entered the forest of the district, a herd of wild elephants started creating ruckus in this area. In which hundreds of hectares of paddy crops were damaged. Apart from this, many houses were also damaged. In these villages of Phulkodo, Kavdikasa, Bhojgata, Arjuni, elephants entered and damaged many houses. The government had assured to compensate the injured. But till now the victims have not received compensation.
