Speaking to ANI, actress-turned-politician Hema said, ‘Schools are for education and religious matters should not be taken there. Every school has a uniform which should be respected. You can wear whatever you want outside the school. Many social media users are supporting this statement of the actress.
Recently, Richa Chadha posted a video in which a group of men was purportedly thrashing a female student wearing a hijab. Responding to this video, the actress wrote on social media – ‘Teach your sons better ways! A bunch of cowards attack a single woman and feel proud of her? Are you all lost? Very embarrassing… what a bad upbringing! I spit on your behavior. This tweet of the actress is becoming increasingly viral on social media.

The controversy was about the fact that the college administration had forbidden the girl students from wearing the hijab, but still they came wearing it.
