New Delhi: Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya on Tuesday met a delegation of protesting resident doctors and requested them to cancel their agitation over the delay in NEET PG counseling in larger public interest. Did.
After meeting with the delegation of Federation of Resident Doctors Association (FORDA), he said that the government is taking all necessary steps and proper reply will be given regarding EWS report in the Supreme Court before the scheduled date of hearing on January 6. Told PTI-Bhasha, “Our resident doctors have been protesting for the last few days over the delay in NEET PG counselling. I held a meeting with the protesting doctors’ delegation at Nirman Bhawan to resolve this issue.”

“We are not able to do counseling as the matter is sub judice in the Supreme Court. The Government of India will submit its reply in the Supreme Court before the hearing on January 6. We request the court to expedite the hearing on this issue so that counseling can be started at the earliest.”
Mandaviya also thanked the resident doctors and health care workers for the remarkable work done by them during the COVID crisis.
