Badnera. After the merger of Badnera Municipality into Amravati Municipal Corporation in 1983, the injustice started regarding the development of Nai Basti and Junibasti has now crossed the limit. On the one hand, the seat number in the 87-member Amravati Municipal Corporation is being increased to 96 in the three-member division system.
In this way 11 members are being increased, but in spite of this, gross injustice is being done to Badnera city. At present there are 8 corporators in Naibasti and Junibasti of Badnera, but now in the proposed division composition for the elections to be held next year, Badnera will have only 6 corporators.
As a result, it will have a direct impact on the development of Nai Basti and Junibasti of Badnera. Already, the Amravati Municipal Corporation does not maintain a balance with Badnera in terms of development, due to which the Naibasti and Junibasti of Badnera are still backward in terms of development. In that, the reduction in the number of members of 8 to 6 will increase step-treatment with Badnera. This is fixed.
Only 10% share in IRDP
Badnera has always been discriminated against in the matter of development funds. With the concept of the then Guardian Minister Dr. Sunil Deshmukh, Badnera’s share of the Integrated Road Development Plan (IRDP) of 115 crores approved for the Amravati Municipal area only came to 10 percent of the funds. Similarly, on the initiative of Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari, about 1600 crores The main roads of the city were cemented at a cost. In which even one-fourth of Badnera’s share could not be cemented.
In this way, always gross injustice to Badnera in the development fund is not new. But now when the number of members is being increased, at least 12 corporators were expected to come instead of 8 part of Badnera, but to strangle this hope, the main area of Badnera is divided by Chaman Nagar and five bungalows from Naibasti and Junibasti. It has been put directly in the Akoli Division.
step-treatment in development fund
If objection is not taken on this in time, then the residents of Badnera will keep rubbing their hands. At present, Ganga Ramesh Ambhore (BJP) from Division No. 21 (A) of Junibasti area, Rubina Tabassum Harun Ali (MIM) from B, Mohd from A. Sabir (MIM), D to Sheikh Mohd. Archana Bandu Dhamane (Shiv Sena), Lalit Rajan Jhanjhad (Shiv Sena), Ishrat Bano Mannan Khan (BSP) and Prakash Ramdas Bansod (Ripai Athawale) are included from division number 22 of Imran (MIM) and Naibasti area.
These 8 corporators kept pushing for development in the Nayabasti-Junibasti of Badnera in the Municipal Corporation. Now if this number decreases, it will have an impact on development. Due to which the urgent need to create all-party pressure in time is being expressed by the residents of Badnera.
