Hazaribagh: Former Union Minister and National Vice President of Trinamool Congress Yashwant Sinha said on Saturday that West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar is putting a leg in every work of Mamata Banerjee’s government at the behest of the Center. And similarly, most of the governors are unnecessarily obstructing the functioning of non-BJP governments.
Former Union Minister and National Vice President of Trinamool Congress Yashwant Sinha made these allegations in a press conference here. He said that obstructing the functioning of the opposition state governments by using governors is never appropriate. He said, “In the day-to-day functioning of the Mamata Banerjee government of West Bengal, Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar keeps putting some kind of hurdle or the other. He is doing this at the behest of the Modi government at the Centre. However, this will never fulfill their intention.”

Sinha also questioned the role of the Governors of Maharashtra, Kerala and some other states and the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi in this episode. On the contrary, when Modi himself was the Chief Minister of Gujarat, the then governors never interfered in the working of his government, Sinha said.
He predicted better performance of opposition parties in the assembly elections being held in five states of the country. “Seeing their condition deteriorating in Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and other BJP leaders are giving outrageous statements, but this is not going to change the results there,” he said.
On Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s remark that if the BJP does not win there, Uttar Pradesh will also become like Kashmir, West Bengal and Kerala, Sinha said, “If Uttar Pradesh becomes like Kerala, Kashmir and West Bengal, then Would be much better because in these three states the social and economic condition of the people is much better than Uttar Pradesh.
