Kolkata: The debate between West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar has intensified. Earlier on Wednesday, Mamta Banerjee again mocked Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar and said that he does not win the election of a councilor and gives instructions to him. Mamta compared the governor to a horse. At the same time, in the evening, the Governor hit back at the CM and said that there is no rule of law in Bengal. All the allegations against him are baseless. The kind of language being used, I am concerned about the direction in which the state is going, he said.
It is noteworthy that recently Mamta Banerjee blocked the governor on her Twitter account. After which the governor had asked that the CM has blocked him from giving information for the last two years, but no one can block the law.
Their performance is turning out to be a big challenge to democratic governance; if it’s not in accordance with the rule of law in WB, I step in: West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar pic.twitter.com/eWoUG5ltN1

Governor Dhankhar said, “I will take steps if Bengal is not governed according to the law. Mamta Banerjee has taken an oath to work according to the Constitution. I question Mamta Banerjee whether she has written that which is not according to the constitution. Wrong language has been used. I want investment in Bengal, but investment will come only when there is rule of law. The shameful incident of violence has happened after the elections. The Human Rights Commission had investigated the matter.
