Indian markets have closed with a slight decline in today’s trading on 24th March. Even today there is huge volatility in the market. The Sensex closed at 57,595.68, down 89.14 points, or 0.14 per cent, at the end of trading. On the other hand, Nifty closed 23 points down at 17,223.
Looking at different sectors, in today’s business IT, oil & gas, metal and pharma saw an increase of about 1 percent, while the banking stock lost 1 percent. There has been light buying in small-medium stocks, due to which BSE Midcap and Smallcap indices have managed to close in the light green mark.

Invesco, the largest shareholder of Zee Entertainment Enterprises, has dropped the demand for an overhaul of the company’s board. Invesco Developing Markets Fund on March 23 said it has decided not to convene an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) to induct six independent directors on the board. He believes that the merger of Zee with Sony will further strengthen the oversight of the board.

Maruti Suzuki | CMP: Rs 7,533 | Today this stock closed in the red mark. The company’s board has appointed Hisashi Takeuchi as the new Managing Director and CEO of the company Maruti Suzuki India Limited. This appointment will be effective from 1st April 2022. Maruti Suzuki said in a statement that the company’s board in its meeting held on Thursday has appointed Hisashi Takeuchi as Managing Director and CEO with effect from April 1.
Indraprastha Gas | CMP: Rs 376.50 | Today the stock closed in the green. Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) has increased the price of domestic piped natural gas (PNG) by Re 1 per standard cubic meter (SCM) in Delhi to Rs 36.61 per unit. The new price has come into effect from today i.e. March 24. IGL informed about this by sending a message to the customers yesterday. According to the message sent to the customers, from March 24, the price of PNG in Gautam Buddha Nagar and Noida will be 35.86/SCM. At the same time, for Delhi customers, this rate has been increased from Rs 36.61/SCM to 37.61/SCM.
NELCO | CMP: Rs 677.55 | Today the stock closed with a gain of 5 per cent.
