Lucknow: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath fiercely attacked the previous governments for corruption in schemes without naming them. He said that in the earlier housing scheme, barely 20 or 25 thousand were available to the beneficiary. There was a lot of money in that too, the beneficiary could not get the money, that beneficiary would get only half the money. The rest of the money used to go in the pockets of the corrupt and in the pockets of the same corrupt, from whose homes money is being withdrawn by installing JCB. All this money used to go there.
He said these things in a program organized at Lok Bhavan on Tuesday. During this, he inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of urban development projects worth more than Rs 3,200 crore. Along with this, online transfer of more than Rs 500 crore was done to 58,903 beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban). During this, CM Yogi said that when a good government comes, combines schemes with technology, then every citizen gets its benefits without any discrimination. Today we can see, press the button from here, if two and a half lakhs have to go to the account of a poor, then two and a half lakhs will go to his account only, will not go here and there. 500 crores went directly into the account of the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana today. There is no hindrance in it, there is no hindrance anywhere. There is no recommendation of any kind. This is the advantage of double engine government.
Earlier, villages or cities were all drowned in darkness.
CM Yogi said that five years ago, as soon as there was darkness in the village or city of Uttar Pradesh, everyone used to drown in darkness. There was darkness in the lives of the people. People were desperate, they were running away. Today there is continuous power supply. Uttar Pradesh has started providing electricity, adequate power, uninterrupted power to all. We have also linked the electrification plan in the areas where there were hanging wires, and took action to provide electricity connections to the new settlements. Action was taken to rehabilitate the slums.

Earlier the roads of the village were not walkable, today there are clean, wide, good roads: CM
CM Yogi said that different types of facilities are being provided at different places and this has been possible only when the government of double engine runs with the same thinking. With the double engine, when institutions like municipal bodies move forward with the thinking of development, then development appears to be moving forward with even more intensity. I am happy that in five years a lot of changes are visible in the urban and rural areas. Earlier we used to go to the rural area, then the village roads were not walkable. Today there are clean, wide, good roads.
Five years ago, we used to welcome garbage in the cities: Yogi
CM Yogi said that in urban areas today it seems that there is actually a city or a town. What were the conditions like five years ago today? Meaning of city?, If you go to the city, then the first sight was from the heap of garbage. Plastic everywhere, chaotic traffic system. Whichever locality you go to, the first reception used to be dirty. There is a random arrangement. All this used to tell the filth of that city and through it the standard of living of all of us.
Today the whole world is convinced of PM Modi
He said that we are grateful to Prime Minister Modi, who implemented the Swasth Bharat Mission on October 2, 2014 and when the Prime Minister of the country himself came out with a broom in his hands, many people laughed at that time, but today the Prime Minister’s vision of that vision. The whole world is in love. The whole world congratulates that India has indeed got a visionary leadership under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi.
If the poor are uplifted, then life is getting better in urban areas too: CM
CM Yogi said that 45 lakh families have been provided one house each in rural and urban areas. This is the result of the vision of the Prime Minister, which is to make the benefits of schemes available to every poor without discrimination. Where on the one hand the program of upliftment of the poor and their rise is being done. On the other hand, work is being done on the scheme of every household tap under the AMRUT scheme, so that the life of urban areas is also covered. Sewer line laying work is going on, STP is being constructed. Through Solid Waste Management, the work of making energy is being done by disposing of the heap of urban garbage and the waste that is left can be composted and used in the fields or vegetable production. There must be will power for this. Provision of public transport system, facility of electric bus is being made available at some places. Somewhere metro, ring road and ropeway are being constructed.
