Mumbai: Taking a big decision for the safety of women in Mumbai, Maharashtra Government has formed Nirbhaya Squad. In this program organized through virtual medium, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray flagged off 91 Nirbhaya Squad vehicles. After this, talking to reporters, Environment Minister Aaditya Thackeray said, “This is an important step on creating a fear-free state.”
The Shiv Sena leader said,The squad comprises specially trained female and male officers, deployed 24/7 across Mumbai. One can dial 103 for immediate assistance.”

Speaking to reporters after this, the environment minister said, “When an incident happens, we ask the woman: why was she roaming outside, what was she wearing? Women should be allowed to roam freely. This is an important step towards creating a fear-free state.”
