New Delhi: Assam Police in collaboration with Dubai Police has recovered a stolen luxury watch. This watch is said to be Heritage which belonged to the late footballer Diego Maradona Watch. Diego Maradona was the legendary Argentine footballer who died last year. He was 60 years old.
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma informed through Twitter on Saturday that, a person named Wajid Hussain has been arrested in Assam for his watch recovery and further legal action is being taken. The Assam Police, in coordination with the Dubai Police through Indian federal law enforcement agencies, have recovered the watch of Argentine football player Diego Maradona.

According to a report, the Assam Police arrested the accused from his residence in Sivasagar at 4 am on Saturday after receiving an input from Dubai Police through a central agency. The accused allegedly stole a limited edition Hublot watch signed by Maradona while working as a security guard for a company storing the late football player’s belongings in Dubai. He then allegedly fled to Assam in August this year. Further action was taken in this matter with the help of international agencies and he was arrested.
