Filmmaker Parag Sanghvi arrested, accused of cheating: Bollywood filmmaker Parag Sanghvi has been arrested in a case of residential fraud in Mumbai. A police officer gave this information on Tuesday. He said the Economic Offenses Wing (EOW) of Mumbai Police arrested the 49-year-old producer on Monday. Shanghvi’s production house produced ‘Partner’, ‘Bhoot Returns’ and ‘The Attack of 26/11’.
They have been arrested for selling two flats located on Turner Road in suburban Bandra to third parties. He said that the value of the flats has been estimated at Rs 13.74 crore. The official said Sanghvi was produced before a local court, which remanded him to the EOW’s custody till December 25. The official said that according to the complainant in the case, Mahendra Ranmal Shah, he had bought three flats on Turner Road in 2013 from Kamala Infra and Kamala Landmark Group companies Kamala Landmark Properties.

Shah then rented out a flat to Alumbra Entertainment and Media Pvt Ltd, another company of Kamala Landmark Group, the official said. Sanghvi and Jitendra Jain are the directors of Alumbra Entertainment & Media Pvt Ltd. The remaining two flats were given on rent to Metallica Pvt Ltd. Although the flats were on rent, Kamala Landmark Properties sold them to third parties. (Language )
