Department of Defense brokers reportedly detained the incorrect particular person in a Boston resort room throughout a coaching train Tuesday night time, in line with FBI Boston.
The native FBI division was aiding the Pentagon in a Department of Defense coaching train on the Revere Hotel to “simulate a situation their personnel might encounter in a deployed environment.”
“Based on inaccurate information, they were mistakenly sent to the wrong room and detained an individual, not the intended role player,” the FBI Boston spokesperson added. “Thankfully nobody was injured. The Boston Police Department was called and responded to the scene to confirm that this was indeed a training exercise.”
The one that was detained is perhaps a Delta crew member.
“Safety is always a priority of the FBI, and our law enforcement partners, and we take these incidents very seriously,” the FBI Boston spokesperson mentioned. “The Boston Division is reviewing the incident with DOD for further action as deemed appropriate.”
A spokesperson for the Department of Defense didn’t instantly have an announcement in regards to the incident. The spokesperon mentioned its preliminary analysis “has not shown any DOD exercise activity whatsoever in the Boston area.”
A Delta spokesperson mentioned in an announcement, “We are looking into reports of an alleged incident in Boston that may involve Delta people. We have nothing further to share at this time other than to reaffirm our commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of our people.”
