At present Central Railway has 4 rakes. Due to the low response of AC locals at Trans Harbor and Harbor, these can also be run on CSMT Goregaon route along with main line. GM Lahoti said that a decision will be taken soon after reviewing it.
MRVC will buy 238 AC local only
Mumbai Rail Vikas Corporation has now made a plan to buy AC local only. MRVC will procure 238 AC trains under MUTP 3 and 3A. Central Railway will soon get 2 more AC rakes.
