Akola. Telhara police arrested a gang near Panchgwan Phate of Telhara tehsil for giving fake notes to people and exchange of genuine notes. In this case, three accused have been arrested late on Wednesday night with fake notes of Rs 24 lakh and one accused has managed to escape. During regular patrolling, Telhara police came to know that some people are cheating people by giving four fake notes and getting the original notes exchanged near Panchgavan Phata.
As soon as the information was received, the police team including police sub-inspector Ganesh Kayande reached near Panchgwan Phate and raided. In the raid, the police managed to arrest all three, while one of the criminals managed to escape. The name of the absconder is Vijay Thakur and he is a resident of Khamgaon.
The arrested accused include Amit Katare (27), Amol Katare (22) both residents of Chistala Teh.Manora District Washim and Vaibhav Dayal (22) residents of Hivardari Teh.Mahagaon District.Yavatmal. 23 lakh 96 thousand from the accused. Fake notes of Rs. 54 thousand. Genuine notes of Rs.10 lakh. Scorpio vehicle worth Rs.12 lakhs. A Creta vehicle etc. of the value of Rs. A case has been registered against the three arrested accused under sections 489-B, 489-E, 34 of IPC.
The search for the absconding accused is on. Further investigation is being done by Sub-Inspector of Police Ganesh Kayande under the guidance of Thanedar Gyanoba Phad.
