Exit Polls 2022: With the end of the seventh and last phase of voting for the Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election 2022, the exit polls of news channels and agencies will start coming on Monday evening. After voting in five states including Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Goa and Manipur, all eyes are now on the results to be declared on March 10.
However, before the results are announced on March 10, this evening, it will be clear to a great extent from the exit polls that whose government is being formed in which state. Polling for the last phase of UP is going on, which is to be held by 6 pm. Exit polls will start coming as soon as the polling is over.
The Election Commission has banned media organizations from releasing exit polls between February 10 and March 7. Due to this order of the Election Commission, exit polls will be re-issued only after 6:30 pm when the last phase of polling in Uttar Pradesh is over.
What is Exit Poll?
Exit polls are prepared on the basis of the responses of the voters. When a voter comes out of the polling booth after casting his vote, he is questioned by news channels and survey agencies about voting. Voters are asked which party they have cast their vote for. Agencies prepare their data based on the opinion of voters. The responses of the voters are collected by the survey agencies and then the exit polls are broadcast.
When and where will you be able to see exit polls?
The most prominent exit polls in India are usually conducted by Chanakya, CVoter, and MyAxis India, also known as CNN-News18, ABP Network, Times Now, India Today, India TV, News18 India, Aaj Tak, Zee News and TV9 Bharatvarsh including other TV channels.
Exit polls will be issued after 6:30 pm as per the guidelines of the Election Commission. According to the rules of the Election Commission, no opinion poll or exit poll can be issued during the process of election. Doing so is a violation of the rule and breaking it can also lead to action against media groups.

Elections to the 403-member Uttar Pradesh Assembly were held in seven phases this year on February 10, 14, 20, 23, 27, 3 and March 7. Whereas, 70 seats in Uttarakhand and 40 seats in Goa went to polls in a single phase on February 14, while the 117-member Punjab Assembly went to polls on February 20. Apart from this, voting for the 60-member Manipur Assembly was held in two phases on February 27 and March 3. Counting of votes in all the five states will take place on March 10.
