The preparations for the upcoming municipal elections have also started and the corporators are satisfied with the work done by them. All round development was the goal: Jadhav
Sandeep Jadhav, BJP’s corporator and former standing chairman from Division 11, told that he made efforts for all-round development along with the development of basic facilities in the division. There are 450 layouts in the division which fall in the 1,900 layouts of the NIT. Visited the division and saw the condition of the forest-clumped plains there. Then 14 grounds were developed in Jhingabai Takli area itself. Took the work of 4 Gardens out of which Katole Layout Garden was ready.
The work of Shubhamkunj’s garden is going on at a cost of Rs.75 lakhs. 75 percent work has been done. For this garden, the children here had written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This information was received from the PMO through the Collectorate and started the work of the garden. Constructed security wall in cement road, sewer line, river. The work of cement road from Faras to Jhingabai Takli at a cost of Rs 33 crore was done with the funds of Union Minister Nitin Gadkari.
Get 450 electric poles installed in Jhingabai Takli and Gorewada settlements. Asphaltization work done. The work of widening the road leading to Gorewada Basti was done with a fund of Rs 52 lakh. PHC started. Playgrounds are being prepared for children in Rati Layout. Apart from this, organizing health camps for senior citizens, felicitation of meritorious students etc. Jadhav said that the goal is to build a digital library and if the public blesses it, they will definitely build it too.
All facilities in new settlements : Evenate
Maya Ivanate, BJP corporator from Division 12, said that new settlements and colonies are developing rapidly in the Dabha complex. In these settlements, there is a need to do basic development works like roads, gadderlines, water lines, electric poles. In view of this, his priority remained the same. The division has layouts of slums and NITs. The work of asphaltization and cementation of the road has been done for about Rs 8-9 crore.
The work of replacing the old gauge line with a new line was done. In Dabha, the work of cement road was done with the fund of MLA Sudhakar Deshmukh at a cost of Rs.8 crore. Did a lot of work of grounds, gardens, green gym. Evenate told that Surendragarh is the biggest slum. A lot has been done here but a lot still needs to be done. She told that she is always in touch with the citizens.
The work of helping them in providing health services, making ration cards, making baseless cards continues regularly. Installed 350 electric poles, got the Samaj Bhawan constructed in Prernanagar. The BJP corporator of Division 19 told that he gave priority to providing basic facilities to the citizens in his division. The sewer line of Bhoipura had leaked due to its old age, due to which contaminated water came from taps in people’s homes. Changing the line solved this problem. The cement road work was done from Khapripura to Hanuman Mandir. He told that all the MLAs gave funds for development work. The mayor helped a lot. Cement road works worth about Rs 6 crore were done. The repair work of Samaj Bhawan and Library was done. He told that during the Corona epidemic, food was distributed to the homes of the needy. Tried to help in every way.
Development happened after 15 years: Youngtwar
Division 22 BJP corporator Vandana Yangtawar said that the work which was not done in the division for 15 years was done during her tenure. All the streets of the settlements were made of cement. There was a water problem in the red light area which was solved with the help of OCW. Built Dargah Road, got eye-blocks installed in the premises of Jagannath Temple. Street lights were installed in all the areas. A big cement road was built from Fountain Chowk to Ahimsa Chowk, the problem of the Gadder line was completely resolved.
Chairs were installed at different places in the entire settlement. Bhaji Mandi, Sarafa Road was razed. He said that the works which were not done in 15 years were done in the last 5 years. Funds were received from all the MLAs for development works. The fund was stopped by the then Municipal Commissioner during the Corona period. The library has been built by demolishing the mission school. Vande Mataram Hospital is going to start soon. There are only sporadic works left in the division which will be completed in 2 months.
Be it happiness or sorrow, with citizens: Kanhere
Vidya Kanhere, BJP corporator from Division 19, told that domestic relations have been made with the citizens of her division for the last 10 years. Trying to solve all their small and big problems and problems. Public relations continues on a regular basis. During the last tenure, the works of cement road have been done in the division for about Rs.6 crore. Priority has been given to the development of schools.
Solved the problem by replacing the years old Gderline in Bhaldarpura. During the first 5 years of 2017, the division did minor infrastructure works like roads, lanes, girderlines, street lights etc. After that, in the last 5 years, 2 years were spent in the corona epidemic. Tried all possible help to the needy citizens. The development fund commissioner was stopped, due to which the work was also affected for some time.
Solution to years old problems: Bhisikar
BJP corporator of Division 21, Dr. Jyoti Bhisikar told that he paid more attention to the oldest and most serious problem of the division’s settlements, the Giderline. People encroached on the 50-60 year old line and did the construction work. In Shantinagar, more than 100 houses were filled with reverse water during the rains.
Citizens were protesting against breaking the encroachment to get a new drainage line. Then he did that work with the help of Municipal Commissioner. The work of cement road worth about Rs 8 crore was done. MLA Krishna Khopde gave a fund of 3-4 crores from his fund for the cement road. Samaj Bhawan constructed in Sainagar Kamathipura. Rajarajeshwari Vihir beautification, work of reviving 2 wells, construction of toilets in Maskasath, sewer line work in Lalganj.
Jyoti said that in order to increase the physical activity of the children, a well equipped sports ground has to be developed in the division in which basketball, badminton, football etc. can be played. He said that there should be a vegetable market for a population of 1 lakh and it should be included in the budget of the Municipal Corporation. Also distributed 1 lakh masks and sanitizers during the COVID period.
