Gorakhpur: On International Women’s Day, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath called upon educational institutions to become the medium for implementing the schemes of the government. He said that always a society or class lags behind when it is not aware of the system and schemes of the government. Therefore, colleges, colleges and universities will have to become the means of implementing the schemes of the government, because the students coming out of these educational institutions will implement these schemes one time.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was addressing a seminar organized at Mahayogi Gorakhnath University on International Women’s Day on Tuesday. He said the theme of this year’s World Women’s Day is ‘Gender Equality for a Sustainable Tomorrow’. She said that you would be surprised to know to what extent women had to agitate for their rights in the world. Women did not have the right to vote. There have been movements in all the countries of the world regarding this. But from the day the elections started in India, women got the right to vote. India’s first general election was held in 1952 and the first election gave the right to vote without any discrimination to every adult in the country, whether male or female. But in many countries of the world, women got the right to vote after India. Even in England, the father of modern democracy, women got the right to vote after India. This means that there is already a sense of equality for women in India.

Till then the path of development of women will not be paved.
CM Yogi said that when India adopted its constitution, its important sentiment was that no one would discriminate against any person on the basis of caste, religion, creed, gender or language. Equality and liberty have been the core part of the soul of the Constitution of India, but despite all this the process may not have progressed very well, due to which complaints were received from many places. That is why we say that there should be information about the schemes related to the welfare, respect and self-reliance of women of the Central and State Governments. Unless women join these schemes, the path of their development will not be paved.
Special recruitment drive of women police launched
Yogi Adityanath, Chancellor of Mahayogi Gorakhnath University, said that security, respect and self-reliance will pave the way for women empowerment. He said that when Modi ji became the Prime Minister in 2014, it came to the fore that in some areas of the country, the sex ratio of women is much lower than that of men, then the Prime Minister started the program ‘Beti Padhao, Beti Bachao’. Under the Swachh Bharat Mission, two crore 61 lakh families were given toilets, which is also related to the dignity and respect of women. Under the Ujjwala scheme, one crore 67 lakh poor families were provided with cooking gas by giving them LPG. Through the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, women were given the right of ownership of the house by giving more than 43 lakh 50 thousand houses. Under the Mukhyamantri Sumangala Yojana, a provision of Rs 15,000 was made for the education of the girl child from the birth to her graduation. For the marriage of the poor’s daughter, the assistance of Rs.51 thousand was given under the Chief Minister’s Community Marriage Scheme. So far two lakh poor daughters have been married under this scheme. He said that our government started a special recruitment drive for women police. Today we have recruited three times the number of women police from 1947 to 2017. The women constables of Police Beat are visiting the villages and making them aware of the schemes of the government along with the safety of women.
