Recently, the Municipal Administration has made it mandatory for the owner of the dog to have a license. The owner of the dog who does not take the license from the Municipal Corporation, was warned by the Municipal Administration to confiscate his dog. After the warning of the Municipal Administration, 510 dog lovers of the city took new licenses on behalf of the Municipal Corporation. At the same time, 74 people renewed their licenses.
Municipal Corporation Deputy Commissioner Saurabh Joshi said that the process of confiscation of the dog owner, who does not have a license to keep a dog, will be started by the administration. He said that more than 20 thousand citizens have dogs reared in the city. It is mandatory to give rabies injection to the dog. Despite this, without giving rabies injection, they keep the dog. Joshi made it clear that from the first day of the new year, the administration has focused towards the citizens of the city who have a pet, a dog. From January 1, it is necessary for every reared dog to have a license. Whoever does not have a license, his dog will be confiscated and kept in Kondavada of the Municipal Corporation.

Joshi said that last year the citizens who raised dogs and pets did not show much interest in taking license from the Municipal Corporation. On the information of Municipal Corporation Commissioner Astik Kumar Pandey, soon a campaign to confiscate unlicensed dogs will be taken up. The Animal Promotion Officer of the Municipal Corporation, Dr. Sheikh Shahed said that till December 31, 2021, the Municipal Corporation got a revenue of Rs 3 lakh 61 thousand from the license given to raise animals. Earlier, such a huge amount had not been given licenses for raising dogs and pets. In the end, Dr. Sheikh Shahid, while giving information about the revenue received from dog license in the last 6 years, said that in the year 2014-15, new license 97-renewal 49, revenue 65 thousand 550 was recovered. In the year 2015-16, new licenses 119 – renewal 56, revenue 76 thousand 550 rupees. In the year 2016-17, new licenses 152 – renewal 67, revenue – 92 thousand 200 rupees. In the year 2017-18, new licenses 53 – renewal 56, revenue collection 42 thousand 650 rupees. In the year 2018-19, new licenses 59 – renewal 61, revenue recovery 51 thousand 50 rupees, in the year 2019-20 new licenses 109 – renewal 52, revenue recovery 77 thousand 750 rupees. In the year 2020-21, new licenses 83 – renewal 83, revenue recovery 82 thousand 650 rupees. In the year 2021-22, new licenses 51-renewal 74, revenue collection 3 lakh 61 thousand 250 rupees.
