Pulgaon (No.) Complaints are coming after the water harvesting of Pulgaon barrage, made by MLA Ranjit Kamble, to relieve the citizens of Pulgaon and its surroundings from water crisis, to provide irrigation facilities to the farmers. Instructed the officers of Agriculture and Revenue Department to conduct a joint survey of the area. Its work will start in the next two days. Pulgaon town is situated on the banks of Wardha river.
It is the misfortune of the townspeople that they were not getting even proper drinking water at one time. Pulgaon Barrage could be realized with the efforts of the MLA. Water worship took place on 11th December. But to test the last end of water storage in the dam and other technical trials, the Irrigation Department released water, due to which this water has entered the fields of some areas.
Irrigation, Agriculture and Revenue Department will inspect
Under the Lower Wardha project, a barrage was built on the Wardha river by spending Rs 92 crore 58 lakh, the department has done video recording of the drone affected areas before conducting the joint survey. So that the false complaints coming before the administration can be settled. The water crisis of 13 villages has been resolved with the Pulgaon Barrage Project. The dam will store 15.099 molasses of water. The government has spent Rs 92.58 crore to realize the project. Along with quenching the thirst of the villages, water will also be available to the surrounding industries. It may be noted that in view of the water crisis in Pulgaon and surrounding villages, Water Resources Department, Nagpur had sanctioned Rs 88.72 crore in the year 2009 for Pulgaon barrage. The cost of the project also increased due to rising inflation and delay in improving the project.
92.58 crores spent on the project
Eventually this work could be completed in Rs 92.58 crore. Along with the water supply of Pulgaon city from the dam, water supply of Dhamangaon town of Amravati district, water supply in Dhamangaon Industrial Colony, water supply in Rohana village of Arvi tehsil and regional water supply scheme in 9 villages will also be provided. Apart from Nachangaon, Goonjkheda adjoining Pulgaon, water will also be provided to Jaibharat Textiles, BEC Fertilizer of Pulgaon. The drinking water crisis has ended with the irrigation project. The MLA expressed confidence of getting rid of water crisis in the area in future.
Survey work will start soon
A joint survey of Irrigation, Agriculture and Revenue Department will be conducted to get accurate information about the damage. Even if someone is harmed in this, there will be complete justice with him. Most of the land for the barrage has been acquired. The survey work will be started soon.
