Indore: Congress Rajya Sabha member Digvijay Singh on Monday targeted Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, alleging that in his election speeches, as the political heat of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly Elections climbed. Nothing happens except divisive issues like ‘Hindu-Muslim” and “Hindustan-Pakistan”.
Singh told reporters in Indore, “You (media) are already listening to the election speech of Yogi Adityanath. Have you heard any words other than Hindu-Muslim, Hindustan-Pakistan and cremation-graveyard in his speeches?” He also attacked the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and said that just as the termites destroy the house or other object by secretly putting it under the surface, similarly the Sangh is also working in a secret manner and spoiling the whole system.

Singh said, “I will take the most abuses on this thing because it will be said that I have compared the Sangh with a termite. But I have not called the Sangh a termite, but the character of that ideology which is secretly disturbing the system of the country.” Where is your organization? where is your existence? Where is your registered organization? These people (sangh workers) work only in a secret manner. I also want to ask whether the Sangh has ever staged a sit-in as an organization or agitated in support of the farmers and laborers?
He also alleged that there is constant propaganda in the country that “Hinduism is in danger” so that the fascist ideology can be taken forward and money can be earned by getting political posts on its basis. Singh said, “Hinduism was never threatened in India during the hundreds of years of Muslim and Christian British rule. But I am not able to understand that today when Hindus are holding all the important posts in the country from the President to the bottom, then how can Hinduism be threatened?” (Agency)
