Falmouth Democrat Rep. Dylan Fernandes stated Tuesday he raised a whopping $83,664 in December, the primary month of his marketing campaign for a South Shore and Cape Cod Senate seat the place the incumbent will not be operating for reelection.
Fernandes stated he acquired the money from 350 donors in 4 weeks after he introduced his bid for the Plymouth and Barnstable District, which Sen. Susan Moran, a Democrat, stated she won’t search reelection to as she pursues an elected county put up.
Fernandes stated he’s “deeply humbled” by the help he acquired.
“It shows early support for our campaign to bring new energy and experienced leadership to make our communities a more affordable and vibrant place to live,” he stated in an announcement.
Details of Fernandes’ December fundraising haul weren’t instantly out there on the state’s marketing campaign finance web site.
The fourth-term state consultant drew the endorsement of Gov. Maura Healey final month, who touted Fernandes as a politician centered on reasonably priced housing, job creation, and infrastructure wants.
At least one Republican, Bourne School Committee member Kari MacRae, has formally jumped into the race. MacRae’s December fundraising numbers weren’t instantly out there on the state’s marketing campaign finance web site.
MacRae informed the Herald she raised simply over $1,500 in December.
Plymouth Republican Rep. Mathew Muratore, a fifth time period state lawmaker, remains to be debating leaping into the race.
