Wardha, Voting was taken on Tuesday for 14 seats of OBC cadre of four Nagar Panchayats of the district. Polling was completed in 14 centers in a peaceful manner. Its percentage was recorded as 00.00, before that on December 21, voting was held for 54 seats. As a result, on Wednesday, January 19, counting of votes will be taken for a total of 68 seats of NP, in which the fate of about 277 candidates will be decided.
Voting was taken for 68 seats of Samudrapur, Selu, Karanja and Ashti Nagar Panchayats of the district, in which after the decision of the court in the context of OBC reservation, the Election Commission took voting in the first phase on December 21 in 54 seats. In this, elections were held for 14 seats each in Selu, Karanja and Ashti NP and 15 seats in Samudrapur NP. Whereas adjournment was brought on the election of 14 seats of the four NPs of OBC cadre. OBC candidates also expressed dissatisfaction with this decision.
Meanwhile, on the second decision of the Supreme Court, the Election Commission decided to hold elections in the open category on all the seats of the OBC cadre. For this, the electoral process was carried out, as a result of which 4-4 seats each of Selu, Karanja and Ashti and 2 seats of Samudrapur NP, thus a total of 14 seats were voted on January 18.
Tight police arrangements were made on the day of polling at 14 centers, the process of voting was settled peacefully, now the counting of votes for the elections held in two phases on December 21 and January 18 is to be held on Wednesday, January 19. In this, 277 candidates are trying their luck on a total of 68 seats, their fate will be decided on Wednesday.

The eyes of political parties
All the political parties are eyeing the counting of votes going to be held on Wednesday. Congress was in power in Ashti and Karanja in the district and BJP in Selu and Samudrapur, now it will become clear on Wednesday which party will win over all the four municipalities.
Counting of electoral votes will be held here
On Wednesday, January 19, the counting of votes will start at 10 am, for this the counting of votes of Karanja NP will be taken in the auditorium of Pans office, counting of votes of Ashti NP will be done in the main building of Dipchand Choudhary Vidyalaya of Selu NP, and counting of votes of Samudrapur NP will be done in Tehsil. The election will be held in the office building where the election results will be declared in the presence of the Decision Decision Officer, Co-officer.
Corona rules will be followed
According to the instructions of the State Election Commission, the corona rules will be strictly followed at the counting center, both the vaccines of the person entering inside the counting place should be completed.
