Wardha. The final verdict in the famous teacher’s fire case is going to come on February 9. The case is going on in fast track court for the last two years. The date of judgment was fixed on 5 February, but due to some court work being incomplete, the decision to deliver the final verdict has been taken on 9 February. The eyes of the entire state are on the court’s decision. Ankita Pisudde, working as a lecturer in a college in Hinganghat, was put to death by spraying petrol at 7.30 am on 3 February 2020. In the case, Vicky alias Nikesh Nagrale (27), a resident of Daroda, was taken into custody by the police from Buttibori on the same day.
One sided love committed the crime
In unrequited love, the accused carried out the crime. Seriously scorched Ankita was admitted to Orange City Hospital in Nagpur. After treatment for seven days here, Ankita died on February 10 at 6.55 am. After this the incident was condemned at all levels. There was a demand for hanging the accused. The investigation of the case was handed over to the then DYSP Trupti Jadhav. After investigating for 19 days, on 28 February 2020, he filed a 426-page chargesheet in the Additional District Court of Hinganghat.
Total 77 witnesses, statements of 29 were examined
Special public prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam was appointed on behalf of the government. The hearing was taken in the court about 65 times in the case. Public prosecutor Nikam was present 34 times in this. There were a total of 77 witnesses in the case, out of which the statements of 29 witnesses were examined. On February 5, 2022, the court work in the case has been completed. On behalf of the accused side, Ed. Bhupendra Sone is handling the work. The entire state including Wardha is focused on what will be the verdict on this dastardly massacre on 9th February.
Victim’s parents hope for justice
On February 9, Ankita’s parents have expressed hope of getting proper justice for the daughter. The accused has killed our daughter so brutally. Our daughter will not come back, but the court will definitely do justice to Ankita. We have full faith, the family said this.
