In the state, 499 government resident ashram schools are being run by the Tribal Development Department, in which 2 lakh students take education every year. Many ashram schools are in inaccessible and very inaccessible area. In three years, 353 students have died due to various reasons like drowning in water, snakebite, disease, scorpion bite, suicide, accident etc. Most of these students died in these two academic years 2019-20, 2020-21. Therefore, the challenge of reducing the death of students of ashram schools is before the Tribal Development Department. After the closure of the ashram school due to the Corona ban, 146 students have also died at home. The maximum number of students died in the state in the Nashik department. There is a provision to give a grant of Rs 2 lakh to the family of the children of the tribal ashram school on the death of their children. Under this, so far a grant of Rs 2 lakh each has been distributed by the department to the parents of 350 students. Three out of 353 students were not given grants because they were not tribals.

Salunke committee ignored towards Shifaras
