Nagpur. Two criminals created panic in Shantinagar police station area. Threatened and robbed 2 shopkeepers. The 3 shops of the premises were vandalized. Citizens and shopkeepers of the premises are in panic due to this incident. The police registered a case on the complaint of Manoj Vithal Balgewar (45), a resident of Siraspeth. The accused include Premnagar resident Akash alias Goga Mukesh Verma (30) and Prateek Tejbhan Tiwari (25). Manoj runs Maa Santoshi Jewelers at Jhanda Chowk in Premnagar.
Even before this the accused have threatened him and asked for a week. During 2.30 pm on Wednesday, both the accused reached Manoj’s shop and tried to forcibly close the shop. On protesting, the accused broke the glass of the counter with a screwdriver and demanded Rs 2,000 a week. When Manoj refused to give the money, he injured him by hitting him on the head with a screwdriver.
Out of fear, Manoj gave him Rs 2,000. After this the accused went to Mahesh Maluchand Patre’s garage located next door. The week was also asked from Mahesh. When he refused to pay the money, the accused picked up the cane kept in the garage and hit Manoj on the head. He was badly injured by this. Forcibly took out Rs 500 from pocket.
3 shops vandalized
The terror of the accused did not end here. Both started threatening all the shopkeepers in the premises. If you want to do business, you will have to give a week, saying that you have scuffled with many people. During this, the accused also vandalized the Atul Paan Palace, Roshan Paan Mandir and Shri Ganesh Phool Bhandar in the premises. The goods of the shop were thrown on the way. Threatened to kill him if he did not give the week and fled. After this incident, the shopkeepers of the premises got panic. Manoj informed the police about the incident. Shantinagar police reached the spot. A case of robbery was registered against both the accused.

An incident of robbery also took place in Yashodharanagar police station area. The unknown accused fled away after robbing the mobile from a youth named Don. Police registered a case on the complaint of Don Keshavrao Bijewar (20), resident of Sainagar, Vanjra. During 9 o’clock on Wednesday night, Don was going home on his bicycle after finishing his work. The accused riding a two-wheeler blocked the don’s way near the housing scheme building on Kalmana Ring Road. Threatened and snatched a mobile worth Rs 12,000 from him, he fled. Police registered a case of robbery against unknown accused.
