Maharashtra has the highest number of cases of Omicron infection
Talking about the cases of corona infection, 6650 new cases have been reported in the last 24 hours and 374 people have died due to this virus in the last 24 hours. At the same time, so far 358 cases of Omicron have been reported across the country, in which the maximum number of cases have been reported in Maharashtra. 88 cases of Omicron have been reported in Maharashtra. After this, 67 cases have been reported in Delhi, 38 in Telangana, 31 in Karnataka and 30 in Gujarat due to infection with Omicron variant.

PM Modi had a review meeting a day ago regarding the situation of Corona in the country. Apart from this, the Prime Minister asked to consider imposing restrictions in view of the festive season at the local level. The Union Health Ministry has directed to speed up the pace of vaccination in the election states (where elections are to be held). The ministry has mainly asked to focus on those districts where vaccination has been very less.
