The central government has issued new guidelines for the purchase of corona vaccine. Private hospitals will now have to order the vaccine on the Cowin platform from July 1. These hospitals will not be able to buy the vaccine directly from the manufacturers. The center has also fixed the monthly limit of the vaccine for private hospitals so that everyone can get the same vaccine.
Government decided the rule of stock
An SOP document circulated to hospitals in Mumbai on Tuesday states that private hospitals can stockpile only twice the amount of vaccine consumed daily during a week last month. Hospitals can base vaccine purchase on daily vaccine consumption during any given week. Hospitals can get more detailed information from the Cowin platform.

Vaccine will be available on the basis of beds available in the hospital
The hospitals which have not started the vaccination campaign yet will be given the vaccine on the basis of their available beds. A 50-bed hospital can order a maximum of 3000 doses. Hospitals where 50 to 300 beds are available can order up to 6,000 doses. Hospitals with more than 300 beds can order up to 10,000 doses. It has been said in the SOP that private vaccination centers can order vaccines in four installments in a month. There is no need to take permission from any government authority for this. Simply placing a buy order on the Cowin platform will suffice.
