Covid-19 Updates: The most reliable report as a corona investigation is proving CT scan, but due to its high cost, the burden is increasing on people’s pockets. The Karnataka government has fixed the maximum cost of CT scan and digital X-ray in private hospitals in view of its need. State Health and Medical Education Minister, Dr. K. Sudhakar, tweeting this information, said that CT stan and X-ray became very necessary to detect corona infection, then the government would pay a maximum of Rs 1500 for CT scan in private hospitals and labs. And has fixed the price of 250 rupees for X-ray.

All other charges included in the maximum price
The order for maximizing the price of CT scan and digital X-ray has been issued by Additional Chief Secretary (Health and Family Welfare) Jawaid Akhtar. According to the order, most patients have to undergo high resolution CT or digital X-ray to detect corona infection and some labs are charging too much for this, due to which their prices have been caped. It has been made clear in the order that consumer charges, sanitization etc. are all included in the maximum charge.
Package also prescribed for the treatment of corona infections
A few days ago the state government approved revised package rates for the recruitment of Corona patients referred by the Public Health Authorities. Under the order issued by Chief Secretary P Kumar, a patient admitted in a private hospital general ward can charge Rs 5200 per day, Rs 8,000 per day for HDU (High-Dependency Unit). Apart from this, a maximum of Rs 9750 per day can be charged for Isolation ICU for ventilator and Rs 11,500 per day for Isolation ICU with Ventilator.
