Covid-19 Guidelines: The second wave of Corona epidemic in the country is infecting people more rapidly than last year. In order to prevent corona virus infection, the Office of the Chief Scientific Advisor of the Central Government has asked to take necessary precautions while maintaining social distancing. Accordingly, the infection of SARS-CoV-2 is spreading rapidly through aerosols and droplets and the aerosol released by sneezing can travel up to 10 meters in the air. In addition droplets fall within a radius of 2 meters of the infected person.
In the guidelines issued under the name ‘Stop the transmission, crush the pandemic’ (stop the infection, end the epidemic), it is said in the panel that it should always be remembered that people who do not show signs of corona are also infected with the virus. Can spread.

Transition may be accelerated by running AC in closed room
In the guidelines issued by the panel, it is suggested to arrange ventilation in a proper way so that the spread of the virus can be stopped. The panel said that by running the AC by closing the windows and doors, the infection can spread inside the room and this increases the possibility of infection from Corona infected person to other people. The advisory recommends the use of gable fan systems and roof ventilators in offices, auditoriums, shopping malls and other closed public places. The panel has recommended cleaning and replacement of the frequency filters.

Suggestion to increase testing in villages
Regarding how the virus spreads through transmission through a surface, it has been said in the advisory that droplets go to many surfaces due to sneezing of an infected person and they remain there for a long time. In such a situation, the door handles, light switches, tables, chairs and floors should be disinfected with bleach and phenyl. The panel said that just as any fragrance or odor in a room can be removed by opening windows and doors or through an exhaust system, the risk of infection can be reduced by correcting ventilation in the room. In rural and semi-urban areas, it is recommended to increase testing and isolation at the community-level. Apart from this, antigen test should be done for people entering such areas and all health workers who have been tested have been suggested to use N95 mask.
