New Delhi: Congress leader P. Chidambaram has described the Union Budget 2022-2023 as a capitalist budget. With this, he made a big attack on Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. “Today’s budget speech was the most capitalist speech ever read by an FM,” the former finance minister said at a press conference held at the Congress headquarters. “The word ‘poor’ occurs only twice in para 6 and we thank the FM for remembering that there are poor people in this country,” he added.
Center made fun of the public
The Congress leader said, “I was amazed, shocked that the Finance Minister was outlining a plan for the next 25 years. The government feels that the present does not need any attention and the public can be asked to wait patiently till the ‘Amrit Kaal’ rises. It is making fun of the people of India.”

The budget came at the behest of the rich
Questioning the digital currency announced by the Centre, the former MP said, “This is apparently at the behest of the very rich people of the country. Instead of RBI, FM virtually announced that cryptocurrencies are legal from today. Now all this is not beneficial for 99.99% of the people of India.”
