Bangalore: There is a continuous uproar across the country regarding the hijab. The controversy, which started from a school in Udupi, Karnataka, has now become nationwide. Meanwhile, the Congress leader has given a controversial statement regarding the hijab. Addressing a press conference in Hubli on Sunday, Congress leader Sameer Abbas said, “Hijab means ‘veil’ in Islam… to hide the beauty of women… Women are raped for not wearing hijab.”
It may be noted that the Karnataka government has banned the wearing of hijab in all schools in the state. This decision of the government was opposed by the girl students of a school in Udupi district. His protest gradually spread throughout the state. And now this issue has become a national issue.

Schools will start from tomorrow
Following the direction of the Karnataka High Court, the state government has taken the decision to resume classes up to class 10 in the state from Monday. State Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said, “Schools up to class 10 will open from tomorrow. I have directed the DC, SP and the school administration to organize a meeting of the peace committee. Higher classes schools and degree colleges will reopen after reviewing the situation.
Tomorrow there will be a hearing in the High Court
The Karnataka High Court will hear the petition filed against the decision of the state government. While hearing this earlier, the court had banned all educational institutions inside the state from wearing any kind of religious symbol till Monday.
