Navi Mumbai: The erosion of Kasadi River flowing through Taloja MIDC goes unnoticed. The chemical water of Taloja MIDC companies is released into the Kasadi river, which is known as the lifeline of the villages of Navada region, due to which this river is caught in the pollution trap for the last several years. Due to the contaminated water coming from the companies, chemical effluents in this river have often been found to be foaming. All the efforts of the administration to make this river pollution free seem to be in vain.
Significantly, Taloja MIDC is spread over 900 hectares, on which there are more than 950 small and big companies, including chemical companies. The Kasadi River originating from the Haji Malang Hills flows through this MIDC. There are many villages around this river, in which the people living earlier used to use the water of this river, but since the contaminated water of companies has been released in this river, since then the villagers here have used the water of this river. has stopped using.

The secret of the hyacinth in the river Garhi
Apart from the Kasadi river flows through the area of Panvel tehsil, in which the picture of hyacinth carpet being laid on the river water due to the narrowing of the ravine for a few kilometers. No action has been taken by any government administration to remove this hyacinth. The city of Panvel is situated on the banks of river Garhi. The Garhi River originates from the hills located in the eastern part of Panvel tehsil. Due to the city being built on its banks, dirty water is released through small and big drains, due to which this river is also not untouched by pollution. Two years back, water expert Rajendra Singh had visited Panvel and appealed to the youth to take initiative for the conservation of rivers. After that BJP MLA Prashant Thakur also took the initiative. Now this campaign has cooled down again.
