- 45,000 crore arrears of agricultural pumps
- More than 50,000 farmers participated in Nagpur
Nagpur. Mahavitaran has outstanding bills of Rs 45,000 crore on farmers’ agricultural pumps, due to which the existence of the company has been questioned. In times of crisis, an appeal has been made to the farmers to cooperate by paying the electricity bills. For this, Mahakrishi Mela is being organized by the company in every tehsil of the district. In the fair organized in Kalmeshwar on Thursday, 410 farmers cooperated by depositing arrears of Rs 32 lakh.
During this, Suhas Rangari, the regional director of Nagpur region appealed for cooperation from all the outstanding farmers. He said that Mahavitaran has brought Maha Krishi Yojana for the development of the village and the district from the amount deposited by the farmers of the outstanding bills. There is a facility to waive the same amount of the outstanding bill till March 2022.

Rangari appealed for cooperation in reducing the outstanding dues of crores of Mahavitaran by taking advantage of this scheme. He said that more than 50,000 farmers in Nagpur circle participated in this scheme. Chief Engineer Dilip Dodke also appealed to the farmers for cooperation. Plantation was also done by his hands. Dhapewada sarpanch Suresh Dongre, Gondkheri sarpanch Changdev Kubde were felicitated. In the same fair, 410 farmers under the Savaner department deposited the outstanding bill of Rs 32 lakh.
All the farmers were felicitated by giving them certificates. Under the guidance of Nagpur Rural Divisional Superintendent Engineer Narayan Amjre, Executive Engineer Dipali Modelwar, Additional Executive Engineer Thackeray, Kalmeshwar Sub Division Deputy Executive Engineer Pankaj Honade, Manoj Puri, Rahul Lanjewar along with other officers and employees worked successfully.
